Belize for the winter

I could say that I am blessed or lucky but I feel like I have welcomed a lot of positivity into my life in the last year. Almost every single day I have a moment of feeling an absurd amount of happiness that overwhelms me. I take a deep breath in and think “I love my life”. Sometimes it’s something little, like seeing someone singing on a bike or something big, like swimming with sharks. When I miss a day of feeling that I know that the next day is going to be better and I fall asleep confident. Life is so beautiful. It feels like such a ‘hippie’ thing to say outloud (or rather, type publicly) but it’s true. I have become a ‘yes’ person. I have a great example of this… Two weeks ago I was staying at a hotel that I enjoyed in San Pedro, Belize – I started talking to the owner, who introduced me to a wedding planner, who hooked me up with one of her clients that needed a photographer in 6 weeks, who invited me to their amazing ranch where we rode horses up to a beautiful hill, then we went to their super bowl party and had amazing homemade ceviche and nachos. I ended up shooting their wedding a month ago. Belize warmed up a lot to me over the course of my 2 visits. The people are particularly amazing and I hope to be visiting them again soon.
